Stephanie Jemilo serves as the Director of Special Projects, supporting the Chief of Special Education on initiatives related to inclusive practices and equitable outcomes for students. She has worked in public education for the past 13 years, working in the public school systems in Chicago, Boston, Oakland, and New York City. Her passion for the field is rooted in her deep belief in family/community engagement, restorative practices, positive behavior interventions, universal design for learning, and comprehensive literacy instruction. Off the clock, Stephanie loves going to live jazz, hiking anywhere and everywhere with her pit bull, Bear, and spending time with her community.
