Kathy Rutherford has worked for 26 years as a biomedical engineer obtaining FDA approval for medical devices ranging from MRI systems to hip implants. She has a BE EE and an MS BME and is a Sr. IEEE member. Kathy has been a FIRST robotics judge for 20 years and a robotics teacher for the past nine years. Ms. Rutherford mentors 4 leagues (FRC, FTC, FLL and FLL Jr.), and the Girl Scouts of Greater NY. Kathy leads the Mary Louis Academy high school FRC robotics and makerspace and the school has recently started a Makers Making Change Chapter.
