Melissa Loble serves as Chief Academic Officer for Instructure, where she oversees thought leadership and academic strategy to drive educational industry advancements. Melissa’s role includes promoting strategic customer, organization, and stakeholder partnerships, as well as engaging in governmental working groups to help influence legislation in the ed tech space. Additionally, she helps to foster growth of Instructure’s customer base and catalyze Instructure employee development. Driving innovation and creating positive learning experiences are central pillars to Melissa’s mission.
Melissa has spent 25 years in the educational technology world, working for a number of technology suppliers and educational institutions in a variety of teaching, learning, and technology leadership capacities. She has taught throughout her career, starting as a high school social science teacher and now teaching courses that focus on managing technology for educational change and crafting innovative learning environments. She also currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for 1Edtech.
Melissa earned her BA in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, her MA in educational policy from Teachers’ College, Columbia University, and an MBA in leadership from the Columbia Business
