Bio

Brian P. Healy is an internationally recognized innovator and business leader. As a senior
executive in the PreK-20 Education sector for over thirty years, he is currently the Founder & CEO of
Education Market Experts, Inc. (EME) based in Orange County, CA.  EME has helped over 150
education companies from start-ups to industry giants promote and sell their products and services to
faculty, administrators, and students in PreK-12 schools, colleges, and universities.

Prior to founding EME, Brian created the largest early-learning language skills company of its kind,
transitioned an iconic consumer-focused reading program into a $40M profit-making PreK-12 classroom
endeavor, developed the International markets for one of the largest U.S.-based educational publishers
and led the rapid transformation of an untenable hardware-based education product into an all-digital
platform that taps into the global need for PreK-20 assessment solutions.

Since his early successes as an innovator in building a $120M PreK-3 business with Hooked on
Phonics over twelve years, Brian has earned a reputation as a visionary and a leader in
the field of direct response marketing and digital education. The organizations and products he
has built share a foundational strategy: best-of-breed partnerships, leveraging the knowledge
of the whole, data-driven decision-making and rapid product and sales distribution growth.

Under Brian’s leadership, Teacher Created Materials International business division
experienced dramatic growth through the creation and execution of a long-term global strategy
that focused on channel partners and content licensing in markets including Asia, Europe,
Middle East and Latin America. This strategy resulted in 5x EBITDA growth during this three-year
period.

In an earlier role, Brian led the efforts at Apperson Education to make the seismic shift from
print to digital assessment offerings and was credited with reversing a multi-year revenue
decline while reorganizing the company for long-term sustainability. These efforts were
formally recognized through receipt of 2 national product awards combined with closing 5 of
the largest U.S. mega districts in the country during his two-year stewardship.

For over 11 years, Brian created the vision and led the strategy to scale Kindermusik
International from a fledgling social venture to a sustainable high-growth PreK-3 company that
is now referred to as the USA’s largest early-learning music education company. Among other
achievements at Kindermusik, his ability to formulate and execute a PreK-3 direct-to-school new
sales channel that resulted in scaling from start-up to $15M in annual recurring sales during his
tenure earned him a spot on Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Brian holds a Business Administration degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and his research
and work on various aspects of educational product innovation and sales growth strategies
have been the catalyst for his success. Moreover, he has served in leadership roles in a variety
of professional and Higher Education organizations including Vistage Worldwide, and as a guest lecturer
at Wake Forest and Elon University Business schools. Brian is married to Sonja (24 years) and is the
father of two college-aged daughters.
