Ivonne Gonzalez is the founder and President of TESOL Colombia, an association of English teachers committed to professional development, research, gathering different stakeholders, and hosting one of the most innovative ELT events in Latin America. She is also the General Director of the International Center of Foreign Languages and Cultures at the Universidad de La Sabana in Colombia, and the founder of the online networking platform for English teachers, “TESOL Latam,” which supports teachers’ collaboration throughout the Latin American region.
Ivonne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, a Specialization degree in University Teaching, a Master’s in Commercial Management and Marketing, and a High Management Diploma from INALDE Business School. With more than 20 years of experience in ELT (English Language Teaching), she has developed numerous teacher-training projects, language teaching initiatives, and technology and innovation-driven educational projects. She also works on implementing strategies for the internationalization of education at the university level and supports the internationalization plans of the Universidad de La Sabana. Her main interests are innovation in education, the use of technology in education, international collaboration, CLIL, and materials development for language teaching.
