Alvin Crawford has been a thought leader, strategist and innovator in the education space. He has spent over twenty years in venture related companies within K12. Over the last 25 years, Crawford has led teams that have sold over $750 million in urban district or state business.
Crawford is the founder of EdviceK12, Inc., a consulting firm focused on helping edtech companies remove the sales friction that inhibits growth and working with school districts to improve their purchasing process.
Crawford was CEO of Advance Education, a company he founded in April 2023 to database available instructional supports including after- and summer-school opportunities and provide parents with a growth plan for their child based upon their strengths, needs and interests. Concentric Educational Solutions acquired the Advance Education as part of a strategic investment by New Markets Venture Partners Group.
Prior, Alvin spent 3 years as Chief Revenue Officer of Revolution Foods, where he led a team that has significant growth 80% CAGR, 100% customer retention, and profitability, including over $130 million in new product sales during the 18 months of the pandemic.
In his previous education roles, Alvin has been a trailblazer, serving as GM of PCG’s Education practice, CEO of Knowledge Delivery Systems where he transformed innovative professional learning solutions, and at SchoolNet, one of the fastest-growing (2 years on the Inc. 500) and valued companies in the K12 edtech space.
Prior to SchoolNet, Mr. Crawford served in strategy with several leading Internet agencies in New York and Boston (Digitas, Ogilvy & Mather and Zentropy Partners) in developing and implementing Internet strategies for large corporations, including Kodak, IBM, AIG, American Movie Classics and Express Scripts. He has strong education, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, product management, strategy and management skills to lead Edvicek12’s growth.
On a personal level, Mr. Crawford serves on the Board of New York Junior Tennis and Learning (NYJTL) in NYC. Crawford is an avid tennis player and jazz saxophonist. He spends his private time with his wife and three daughters in NYC.
