John has worked to ensure students with disabilities have access to high quality special education programs and services over the course of his 19 year career with NYC Public Schools. John began his career as a special education teacher and Dean at PS 231K before moving to the Special Education Office in 2014, where he served as Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief Executive Director and Chief Executive Director before assuming the role of Deputy Chief of Special Education.
