Laurie Barnes Holden is the Instructional Lead at the Queens Transition and College Access Center (TCAC).  She supports students with disabilities in having a seamless transition from school to adult life.  Laurie started her career as an accountant and switched to teaching.  After teaching in a high school, she moved on to support several schools in her role as a Special Education School Improvement Specialist. From there she became a Transition Specialist Administrator and then moved to her current role at the TCACs. Laurie holds seven New York State Teaching Certifications.  She is passionate about supporting students in getting meaningful work-based learning experiences while they are still in school.
