Amy is passionate about transforming the way people learn through technology. Amy is currently the Director of Technology, Assessment, and Accountability for Los Gatos Union School District, a small district in Northern California with 2,700 students. Prior to that, Amy spent eight years as the Director of Instructional Technology for the Cupertino Union School District. She is a graduate of the CITE CTO Mentor Program Cohort 15 and also earned Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) certification from CoSN. Before working in education, Amy programmed polar-orbiting weather satellites as a software systems engineer. Amy has an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Software Management, and a master’s degree in education from the Learning Design and Technology program at Stanford University.
