The hearing needs of students are wide-ranging, and often misunderstood or undetected. In this session, we will explore hearing accessibility tools available in the technology that surrounds us and that we use every day with a focus on built-in and ready-to-use tools. Additionally, the role of AT and AAC in helping to meet the individualized needs of students will be discussed and related resources will be shared. The goal of today’s session will be to help educators develop a new lens through which they view the auditory environment for their students and feel empowered to begin implementing hearing supports immediately.
