Mylene Matro has been a Center for Assistive Technology Specialist for the past 16 years for the New York City Department of Education. She is RESNA certified as an Assistive Technology Professional. She conducts evaluations and training for New York City students in public, charter, and private schools, as well as implementation support to integrate assistive technology into the curriculum.  She has been a speaker at staff professional development within the NYC Department of Education and internationally renowned conferences such as ATIA Assistive Technology Industry Association and CTG Closing the Gap. Assistive technology interests include using web-based tools to support struggling learners and accessibility options for students with physical disabilities. Mylene has been a senior physical therapist for the NYCDOE for the past 17 years.
