Charity Delsie, M.S., CCC-SLP, received her Master of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University. She is licensed by the state of New York, holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and is certified as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Difficulties. She currently works for the NYCDOE, and has enjoyed providing speech services to children in special programs within community schools, such as the Horizon program for Autism and the Academic, Career, and Essential Skills (ACES) program for students with multiple disabilities. She currently conducts evaluations for children benefitting from Assistive Technology, and specializes in Augmentative Alternative Communication; Charity provides implementation support and training for students, families, and staff using assistive technology to access curriculum. Charity has enjoyed related educational and healthcare experiences in locales such as Ghana and South Africa. She is a supervisor to new clinicians, and speech pathology clinical fellows.  Additionally, Charity treats a range of needs for students, including articulation, feeding, language and literacy, and fluency disorders.
