Marife Alfonso-Gutierrez has over 25 years of clinical experience in the field of pediatrics. She currently works full-time as a school-based physical therapist in Queens. In addition, Marife is also a certified Assistive Technology Professional through Rehabilitation Engineer and Assistive Technology of North America (RESNA) and is a member of the Center for Assistive Technology Team performing evaluations and training for students and school staff within the NYCDOE. Over the course of her career as an AT evaluator, she has spent over 10 years specializing in the assessment of device positioning and thereafter has dedicated her time to mounting and use of access modalities to assist students with varying motor functions. She is a compassionate and motivated professional and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling abroad, and engaging in sports and the outdoors when outside of the workplace.
