The Division of Multilingual Learners (DML) is led by Deputy Chief Academic Officer Mirza Sánchez-Medina. ​ The division sits within the Office of the CAO and encompasses four teams that support and advocate for our city’s Multilingual Learners and English Language Learners (MLs/ELLs):​ Research, Instruction, and Professional Learning​; School Support and Implementation​; Multilingual and Immigrant Student Supports​; and, Continuous Learning​.
