Dr. Ybarra serves as the Associate Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Bryan ISD. Over the past 25 years, she has also served as a teacher, professional development specialist, technology specialist, grant administrator, campus administrator, chief technology officer, executive director, and assistant superintendent. Dr. Ybarra earned her doctoral degree in educational leadership in 2016 and was the recipient of the Jane Irons Dissertation of the Year Award. Her research has focused on data-informed leadership in high-poverty schools and the corresponding impact on student achievement. She received a master’s degree from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree from Culver-Stockton College. Dr. Ybarra also serves as an adjunct professor for the educational leadership doctoral program at Lamar University.
