Mrs. Rose Powell has been honored to serve in education in the state of Georgia for over 28 years. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Technology Services, Research, Evaluation, Assessment and Accountability in the Bibb County School District located in Macon, Georgia. Prior to this position, she served as the Director of Technology, Information Technology, Assessment and Accountability in the Houston County School System. Before moving to the district office, Mrs. Powell served as Assistant Principal for Instruction at Houston County High School and as a math teacher and math department chair at Feagin Mill Middle School for over 10 years. Mrs. Powell obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Mercer University in Macon Georgia. She furthered her education by obtaining Masters and Specialist Degrees in Educational Leadership from Georgia College & State University. Mrs. Powell is most proud of obtaining Georgia Master Teacher Certification in 2008. She was honored to be selected to serve on the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) from 2006-2011. The GaPSC is the governing agency that certifies educators. As an educator and district administrator, Rose enjoys serving the students, teachers and parents. It truly is all about servant leadership and providing our children with the best possible educational experience!
