Working Groups and Sponsor Meetings 

Attendees either participate in a facilitated small group discussions focused on important topics related to strategic planning or meet with industry partners. Topics will include:

• Data Privacy & Cyber Security: This session will cover how districts keep data private and secure. What do districts have in place to support these efforts? What resources are available to schools?

• Rethinking Professional Development: Laguna Beach USD has created a process for teachers to create units that are relevant and authentic. Chad Mabery, Assistant Superintendent, Instruction, and Mike Morrison, CTO, of Laguna Beach USD, discuss how their teachers use LBUSD signature practices and a variety of lenses to help drive engagement. They will also share how they support this work and more through their unique approach to staff development.
   
• Supporting Student & Teacher Wellbeing: How do you ensure all of your students are recognized for the strengths they bring with them to school each day? And how are you supporting the wellbeing of your staff?
