Eva Harvell is the Director of Technology for the Pascagoula-Gautier School District. She has worked at PGSD since 2002 as an elementary teacher, Technology Integration Specialist, and Director of Technology. In 2013, Eva was selected as a Tech and Learning Leader of the Year. Eva is one of the coordinators for Tech Camp for Teachers, which has been held every summer since 2015. This event provides two days of free technology integration training for educators. Tech Camp for Teachers 2020 was attended by over 2,200 educators from around MS, AL, LA, and Washington DC. Eva also promotes educational technology at local and state conferences. Presenting allows Eva to share her knowledge with others. Shehas also served on the board for the Mississippi Educational Computing Association (MECA) and was president in 2017, as well as serving on other state level committees. These platforms allow Eva to help make decisions regarding educational technology in MS and spread the message to educators around the state.
