Dr. Kari Murphy is a Certified Educational Technology Leader with more than 30 years of experience and serves as Chief Technology Officer for Deer Park ISD in Texas. An Apple Learning Coach and certified WHY.os consultant/coach, she is driven by solving complex challenges that create better paths forward. Dr. Murphy is the 2026 CoSN Withrow CTO of the Year and recipient of the 2025 Grace Hopper Award from Texas Educational Technology Leaders. Her honors also include the TCEA Lifetime Achievement Award and ISTE Making IT Happen Award. A frequent state and national presenter, she is passionate about empowering others and advancing student success through transformational leadership.
