Brenda Figueroa is a Bilingual School Psychologist in the New York City Department of Education. Her professional preparation includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in Human Services, Psychology and Education.

As a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), Ms. Figueroa has worked in District 19 in Brooklyn, New York for the past 4 years. Ms. Figueroa is also currently a mentor for New York City Department of Education’s Psychologist in Training Program. Ms. Figueroa strongly believes in career enhancement, professional growth and giving back to the field of School Psychology.

Prior to joining District 19 as a school psychologist, Ms. Figueroa worked as a Family Engagement Specialist for New York City Department of Education’s District Office of School Support and Supervision. Her primary role was to develop, implement, and establish strategies to strengthen the NYCDOE’s efforts to promote home-school collaborations throughout NYC.

Ms. Figueroa is extremely passionate about her current role and how it continues to support students, families, and educators in NYC.
