Dr. Soye Zaid-Muhammad (Dr. Z.) is a New York State Licensed Psychologist. For the past 12 years, he has served as a School Psychologist with the New York City Department of Education, and also teaches as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at the City College of the City University of New York. Dr. Z. has previously taught graduate courses in the School Psychology programs at Long Island University and Touro College. Dr. Z’s ongoing professional role involves supporting school children and school communities by counseling students, providing psychological first aid and resilience training, conducting psycho-educational evaluations, classifying educational disabilities, providing consultation to educational leaders and providers, and promoting multicultural competence and awareness. Dr. Z. completed his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in the School-Clinical Child Psychology, along with a Master of Science and Education (M.S.Ed.), at School Psychology at Pace University.
