Dr. Zoabi is a twelve-year veteran of the NYC DOE. As a practicing school psychologist, Dr. Zoabi has a keen interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational systems. A graduate of Fordham University, her dissertation research centered on self-efficacy and social support as protective factors against discrimination in high school students. Prior to working with the DOE, Dr. Zoabi served as associate director for a social-emotional learning program run out of the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Dr. Zoabi's expertise in SLD identification and working with families to understand the IEP process guides much of her work with the NYC DOE. She is a NYS licensed psychologist living with her family in Brooklyn, NY.
