Dana is the Director of Instructional Services for the Florida Union Free School District, with an extensive background in safety, physical security, cybersecurity, facilities, technology infrastructure and instruction and also served as the district's former Interim Superintendent. With over 30 years in education, Dana has focused on building strong relationships that foster collaboration, innovation, and student success. She is committed to creating supportive learning environments, enhancing instructional practices and integrating technology to improve educational outcomes. Through her leadership, she works to bridge the gap between infrastructure and instruction, ensuring that educators and students have the resources they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving educational landscape. Dana also served as a National Lead Advisor for Future Ready Schools. Over the past decade, she has been a prominent speaker at the annual NYSCATE Conference and other NYSCATE-hosted events. Her contributions to NYSCATE also include facilitating book studies and actively participating in corporate council sessions.In addition to her work with NYSCATE, Dana has delivered numerous presentations at the ISTE conference and served as a panelist for the ISTE CTO Bootcamp and a CoSN Academy Thought Partner. Dana serves as a K-12 Leaders Board Member and is deeply engaged with leading organizations such as NYSCATE, ISTE, CoSN and Future Ready Schools. She is a passionate educator and lifelong learner, overseeing all aspects of technology, from infrastructure to instruction and innovation.While Dana’s professional experience is extensive, she values the time spent with her husband and three adult children. An avid reader, she enjoys exploring new ideas through literature and finds relaxation in the company of her two beloved dogs, Cooper and Peanut. Whether spending time with family or unwinding with a good book, she appreciates the balance between professional commitments and personal fulfillment.
