Bio

Sarah Kono is a bilingual Speech Language Pathologist licensed both in New York and New Jersey who received her graduate degree from Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus and has 15 years of speech and language therapy experience with both children and adults. At the department of education, Sarah splits her time between the High School of Fashion Industries in Manhattan and the Center for Assitive Technology city-wide.  In the high school setting, Sarah provides therapy for students with the goal of gaining independence with writing, reading, and skills for transitioning to college and/or work force. Sarah has been on the Center for Assistive Technology team since 2016, where she performs monolingual and bilingual AAC and AT evaluations, training, and implementation session for students with language and speech deficits as well as students who need AT to access their curriculum. When she is not working, she is spending time with her family and friends, and loves cooking, traveling, speaking Spanish, and playing guitar.
