Daliana is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has provided bilingual therapy and evaluations for the NYCDOE and EI during her 25 year career. In the NYC Department of Education she has served the bilingual community in various capacities  including providing bilingual speech therapy, speech and language evaluations, and more recently bilingual AAC evaluations.  Upon joining the CAT Team nine years ago, she began to serve and evaluate students and families needing Assistive Technology, specifically AAC. She aims to discern a client’s communicative potential and how this potential can best be met via various methodologies including traditional and evidence-based approaches. She has experience working with clients ranging from toddlers to high schoolers.  She enjoys pointing out the strengths in the clients and how they can use these to enhance all areas. Daliana has worked with clients of various linguistic backgrounds including Spanish, Farsi, Bengali, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Arabic, Urdu, and various African dialects among others. She enjoys traveling and providing services abroad.
