Sam is a Technology Integration Specialist in the Parkland School District with over eighteen years experience in the field of Education. She is an award-winning Keystone Technology Integrator, Schoology Ambassador, Common Sense Media Certified Educator, PBS Digital Innovator, Parkland Technology Leader, College Professor, and published author for eSchool News. Sam is passionate about Digital Leadership, Personalized Learning, Growth Mindset, Technology Integration, STEAM Education, and the Maker Movement. As a visionary leader, Sam has presented on a variety of cutting-edge topics at conferences throughout the country. Sam actively collaborates with other district professionals throughout the Lehigh Valley to provide the appropriate structure for meaningful technology integration and learner-centric experiences. Most recently, she championed the successful implementation of Makerspaces into her district’s Media Centers, which allows all students the opportunity to tinker, design, code, and become creative problem solvers. This innovative work has been published in multiple online magazines and journals, and in two best selling books on the subject. As a resolute lifelong learner, Sam holds the following degrees and certificates: Principal (PK- 12) certification from Drexel University, Instructional Technology Specialist certification from Kutztown University, Masters in Educational Development and Strategies from Wilkes University, certification in Bullying Prevention, Diversity, and Inclusion from Delaware Valley University, and Masters in Instructional Media from Wilkes University. Sam is currently working on a certification in Life Coaching. In addition to Sam’s tenure in the field of education, she has acquired work-related experiences in other industries as well. Sam served as the Director of Business Development for a financial company in the Lehigh Valley, performed as a top-selling Real Estate Agent, and spent time in Los Angeles working in the Entertainment Industry in Public Relations. Her most recent passion- project has been as an Executive Producer of the award-winning feature film, Getting Grace.
