Complimentary Coach Service from Hotel 

There will be a complimentary coach service shuttling guests from the hotel to the venue starting at 8:00 AM. Please meet in the lobby of the hotel. Please note that this is a first come first serve basis but will run multiple trips. 

The venue is a short distance away if you want to use your own personal transportation. Parking will be available for free but will need to be arranged prior to the day of the event.

Attendees arrive to register, network, and enjoy breakfast, as well as get their “Passport to Prizes” pass. Throughout the day, attendees will complete their Passport by visiting with our partners either in scheduled meetings or during lunch if they do not have scheduled meetings.

Minecraft for Students

Chicago Public Schools welcomes you to Chi-Craft: a creative, collaborative, and competitive usage of Minecraft Education. With over 60 schools and over 500 students participating in our eSports preseason, we spark innovative responses to our Build and Present Challenges. Build and Present Challenges are open-ended prompts that focus on imaginative storytelling or real-world problem solving. Their world and videos are scored using our STEM-powered rubric that encourages critical thinking. We encourage students of all backgrounds to embrace their STEM-identities in Chi-Craft and attendees will learn more about our work.

Then, using their tool of choice, they will attempt to create the best output for different scenarios in the ultimate battle for AI supremacy!

Awards Ceremony 

The winners of the Tech & Learning Innovative Leader awards will be announced, followed by the Passport to Prizes drawing.

 
4:45 PM - 6:00 PM

Discovery Point and Dolphin Underwater

SeaWorld will be giving Tech & Learning a special demonstration following the awards ceremony. So stick around and enjoy. 

Also before the reception, Summit attendees can explore SeaWorld's Discovery Point, an oasis tucked-away within SeaWorld San Antonio that is home to a playful pod of bottlenose dolphins. Watch the dolphins play from the sand-swept shores or go deeper with Dolphin Underwater Viewing to get a below-the-surface look at the dolphins.

Closing Reception & Dinner at Explorer’s Reef 

Summit attendees will enjoy dinner at San Antonio Seaworld’s stunning Explorer’s Reef, featuring a breathtaking cylindrical salt water aquarium with living coral. In addition to sharks, it is also home to some of the most wonderfully unusual treasures, like sea horses, clownfish, coral reef fish, dart frogs and more.
