Alicia has been an educator since 1999. She started as a Middle School Social Studies teacher in Charleston County Schools and left in 2007 to raise her babies. In 2010, she returned to the classroom as a virtual High School Social Studies teacher at South Carolina Connections Academy and has grown in the profession much like the school has grown. She became an Assistant Principal in 2013 and then the Principal in 2019. She has recently begun speaking at various conferences and conventions on the ways in which to build relationships virtually and create a positive school culture.
