Guests at Canva’s Austin Headquarters will enjoy a delicious lunch at the Canva Community table prepared by their in-house chef. After lunch, join the Canva for Education team for a tour of their new office. To close out the afternoon, guests will work alongside the Canva for Education team in an interactive and collaborative workshop diving into all of the “Magic Features” Canva for Education has to offer. From Magic Write to Magic Presentations, your creativity will be sparked and your mind inspired as the Canva team showcases how Canva Magic can save you time and energy.

Edtech luminary and international keynote speaker Carl Hooker brings his enthusiasm and passion for education to the Summit as our host and MC for the day. Carl has been a part of a strong educational shift with technology integration during his 23 years in education, and he will facilitate fun and interactive conversations throughout the day to ensure attendees walk away with innovative ideas they can put into action.

Keynote: Learning Evolution: The New Era of AI-Enhanced Education

“Hold onto your b*tts!” This classic line from the iconic 1993 film Jurassic Park applied to the way many filmmakers felt when witnessing how CGI technology completely changed the way movies could use special effects. The same line could be said for the knowledge & information industry with the meteoric rise of generative AI. Education sits squarely in the line of impact. What do we do? Try to avoid it and risk going extinct? Or do we just need to evolve and adapt to survive?

In this presentation, Eva Mendoza, Chief Information Officer, San Antonio ISD, shares tactical guidelines that can support your efforts to diversify your staff.

Digital Literacy in the Age of AI:

In the era of artificial intelligence and other rapid technological advancements, digital literacy has become an indispensable skill needed to support college and career readiness. In this session, Beatriz Arnillas, Senior Director of Digital Curriculum Innovation at 1EdTech, discusses ways schools can ensure they are teaching students "digital literacy" skills that include knowledge about privacy, security, safety, accessibility – and ethical/appropriate use of technology.
